The Machine Intelligence Group (MIG) conducts cutting-edge research on AI and Robotics to advance the development of intelligent autonomous systems, enabling innovation in manufacturing, assistive, and agri-food technologies.

The group’s expertise includes the following areas:

• AI and Reasoning, especially probabilistic and causal inference;
• Machine Perception, including machine learning for multi-sensor and embedded systems;
• Cognitive Robotics, in particular algorithms for safe and efficient human-aware robot navigation.
